Valby’s repertoire is composed of popular songs, limericks, classical arrangements and his own original creations. Valby has made a career out of poking fun at his audiences, stretching the limits of free speech and accepted good taste and satirizing current events from behind his piano. When he’s not playing and singing, he yells obscenities, the audience yells back and everyone has a good time. The best way to describe John Valby is to blend the following performers together: Allen Sherman, Spike Jones, Lenny Bruce and Weird Al Yankovic all topped off with the dirt of Redd Foxx, only better. Artie Lange co-hosted the radio show “The Artie Lange Show” and was a regular on “The Howard Stern Show.” He appears regularly on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and “The Best Damn Sports Show Period.” His other television credits include “MADtv,” “Entourage,” “Rescue Me” and two Comedy Central Roasts. In addition to co-writing, starring in and producing the film “Beer League” (2006), Lange appeared in “Old School” (2003), “Dirty Work” (1998), “The Bachelor” (1999) and “Mystery Men”(1999). Lange’s concert DVD, “Artie Lange: It’s The Whiskey Talkin’,” was released in 2004. His memoirs, “Crash and Burn” (2013) and “Too Fat to Fish” (2008), were both New York Times best-sellers.
